High-yield, six-stage Adwasys RO370-UV reverse osmosis unit with UV sterilisation for producing potable water.

The Adwasys 370RO-UV makes freshwater potable without chemicals. The powerful unit can produce up to 370 litres of clean water per day. The six-stage process removes up to 99.99% of impurities, viruses and bacteria. The package includes accessories, filters, a water tank and a drinking-water tap.

The reverse osmosis system is based on a series of pre- and post-filters and a reverse osmosis membrane that only allows pure water molecules to pass. The final stage is a Philips UV lamp that sterilises viruses and bacteria.

The unit has automatic flushing and is maintenance-free apart from filter changes and any long-term storage and recommissioning. The system fills a pressurised 11-litre tank, from which water is immediately available.

Six-stage purification process:

1. STAGE 1: Pre-filtration

• 5 µm polypropylene fine filter removes particulates such as pollen and fine sand

• Protects the following filter stages

2. STAGE 2: Granular activated carbon

• Effective granular activated carbon removes chlorine, taste and odour issues

3. STAGE 3: Pressed activated carbon

• 1 µm activated carbon filter polishes water quality by enhancing earlier filters, removing heavy metals, humic substances and organic compounds

• Further removes taste and odour issues

4. STAGE 4: Reverse osmosis membrane

• 0.1 µm osmosis membrane cartridge (Vontron) 100 GPD

• Main purification occurs by forcing water through the osmosis membrane

5. STAGE 5: Mineralisation

• The final mineral filter adjusts pH to neutral and refreshes the taste by adding small amounts of calcium and magnesium.

6. STAGE 6: UV sterilisation

• Removes all organic contaminants and ensures water is safe to drink
