Striking Lana/Triangel table top

The table top is made of durable, eco-friendly pine. The top is constructed from two glued laminated planks bonded with water-resistant adhesive. The wood grain and pattern are clearly visible, so the surface is not perfectly even. The planks used are knotty pine, allowing natural cracks, knot holes, resin and heartwood grooves, and unevenness. The surface is finished with a special brushing technique to emphasise the wood's natural features. Brushing removes the softer parts of the wood (resin and heartwood areas) from the plank surface.

The rustic character is part of the Lana/Triangel top. Wood movement can cause changes in shape and may cause cracks. Small hairline cracks are typical for pine and do not weaken the top or affect its service life or durability. Cracks often appear in winter and may close in summer when the wood swells. The amount of resin, heartwood and differing strength/composition of the planks can cause colour and pattern variations across the table top. Colour change over time is also a natural feature of wooden furniture.

The top is delivered in two parts. Includes 2 top planks. Fixing screws/support battens are not included. There are pre-drilled screw holes beneath the planks for attaching legs.

• Care/cleaning instructions: Remove stains and liquids from the top daily with a clean cloth. Wipe with a damp or moist cloth using a neutral cleaning solution if needed (e.g. diluted dishwashing liquid). Dry the surface thoroughly. The surface does not tolerate chemicals, hot items or substances – these will damage the finish and may leave marks. If necessary, re-treat with a water-based varnish suitable for exterior use. Sand previously varnished surfaces to bare wood (remove sanding dust thoroughly) or check adhesion of a new varnish to a lightly sanded surface with a test coat. Wood oil is suitable only if the varnish has been removed.
