The blue RS Octavia that served the previous owner from 2013–2026 is ready for its next owner! The car was inspected in November, so the inspection is valid until November 2026.


The car has been in daily use and was last driven on the LPR–Jyväskylä–LPR route last weekend; it runs without issues.


Faults:

  • The engine warning light is on; it does not affect drivability.

  • The handbrake lever goes fully up and the handbrake does not work. The car went through a car wash and afterwards the handbrake cable froze at around −20°C which damaged the handbrake; it had to be forcibly released.


The car has been serviced as needed, not all work is recorded in the book. The timing belt was done in 11/2022 at about 387,000 km. The trip computer is now requesting service.


Studded tyres have approximately 5–6 mm tread; some studs on the front tyres are broken. Summer tyres were bought new this summer.


The body condition is visible in the photos: paint is missing from the sills, paint has peeled under the spoiler end caps and typically from the seams of the rear wheel arches.


Interior is intact and fairly clean; seats are undamaged and there is no smell of smoke or animals.


The mechanics seem to work well; the clutch and gearbox operate correctly and the power feels intact. Of course there will be wear from age and mileage.

During a short test drive we observed the following:

  • The car is generally functional with a long inspection and a good history.

  • The engine warning light is on and the car requests service.

  • The handbrake does not work; it broke due to freezing.


We have not carried out a technical condition inspection nor tested all equipment. The car may have hidden faults that were not discovered during the test drive and inspection.
