  • Has started in all weathers so far.

  • Gearbox/clutch work well for the age.

  • Car has 7 months MOT remaining.

The car's drawbacks..

  • Coolant leaks onto the driver's mat when the car stands for a short while — noticed after thermostat replacement.

  • Most likely the outer ball joints knock, both when stationary and when turning at speed (new ones for both sides included).

  • The serpentine belt squeals on start-up and sometimes while driving (new one included).

  • The interior blower motor makes noise in freezing conditions but works (new one included).

  • Air conditioning works but loses refrigerant within a day, so there is a fairly large leak somewhere (location unknown).

  • Engine warning light is on; does not prevent normal driving. A code reader suggests the fault is with the rear lambda sensor.

  • Exhaust silencer leaks at the last joint.

  • Front brakes need replacing — they judder when braking.

  • Door lock cylinder for the key is stuck; I haven't tried to free it as it hasn't bothered me.

  • A dog has been transported in the car (dog hairs present).

  • Rear fog light bulb is blown.

I have driven the car as it is.

These are the faults I know of. More may appear quickly because the car is already old/highly used.
