Neat-for-age Audi A4 B7 3.2 Quattro for winter snow and twisty summer tarmac.

S-Line trim — sportier front grille and a small boot lip spoiler compared with the standard model.

Sport seats.

Used as a hobby and daily driver.

Not modified beyond replacement shock absorbers with non-original parts.

Sold as I have bought a new project car.

Engine was replaced under factory warranty at about 70,000 km. This is recorded in the service book and Audi database. The current engine has therefore done just over 200,000 km. Timing chain was also replaced when the engine was swapped.

The timing chain — the most expensive item to replace on these — does not rattle and should last to around 300,000 km.

Plugs changed about 10,000 km ago (NGK, OEM quality).

Summer wheels are different to those in the pictures.

Handbrake cables recently replaced.

The car has just passed MOT and is ready for use.

New Koni Sport shock absorbers (approx. €900 per set), Made in the Netherlands.

Original carpet and rubber mats available.

Battery is almost new.

Tiptronic transmission.


Summer tyres are nearly worn, may last another season.

Winter tyres are good Continental studded tyres.


Originally sold new in Finland, exported to Canada as a moving car and returned to Finland in 2007. Not a US model — fitted to Finnish specifications.


Paintwork tidy and waxed each spring and autumn. Polished once while in my ownership.


Includes various spare parts worth around €400–500.

Defects and other observations

During four years of ownership there have been some electrical faults, but these have been repaired as discovered — e.g. original oxidised relays replaced.

Minor bubbling/spot corrosion on the front arches; treated with rust converter to prevent spreading.

The starter may need replacing in the near future. A replacement starter is included and ready to fit.

A couple of small dents on the plastic rear bumper with cracked paint.

The remote for one of the two keys does not work; one new key included.
