The car has been stationary for several years; last inspected/roadworthy certificate in 2018.

It was laid up because of a transmission fault.

Work was started on the car last summer, but due to lack of time and military service it is being passed on to the next owner.


A sound, lower-mileage TH700 transmission has been fitted. All fluids (except brake fluid) and filters have been changed, and the fuel pump replaced with a new one.


Starts only with a squirt of petrol, likely a problem with the distributor as often happens after long standing. The engine otherwise runs well.


According to hearsay the drivetrain (propshaft and rear axle) has been reinforced.


There are jobs to be done: diagnosing the starting fault (suspected distributor), and small welding spots on the floor. Tyres tend to lose air over time; the battery has run flat but was purchased new last summer. The interior needs attention from time in storage; there should not be severe mould — dehumidifiers have been inside and remain there — and one of the door locks requires some adjustment.


Technically it would be almost ready once it can be started and driven through the gears so the remaining transmission oil can be topped up.
