Ultrasonic cleaners are ecological cleaning systems. 

The cleaning effect of the ultrasonic cleaner is produced by transmitting waves (invisible to the human eye) through the cleaning liquid. This creates thousands of tiny cavitation centres (microbubbles) which then implode under the action of the same sound waves. The penetration of the microbubbles causes local, rapid pressure changes that separate dirt particles (grease, other impurities) from the surface of the object. Using this method you can clean effectively all surfaces submerged in the cleaner without scrubbing or wiping the dirt away.

When the appropriate liquid is used, it is ideal for disinfecting all kinds of items.
