Sisu R500, a legendary workhorse with leaf springs and a lifting driven bogie; also available as a 2‑axle lifting version. The vehicle is in daily use, so the kilometres keep increasing. The engine control unit and the vehicle control unit have been replaced — when the latter failed they were swapped as a pair from a 2007 model. The vehicle has been reprogrammed to Euro 5 emissions even though the controllers were Euro 4. It doesn’t get any better for an earthmoving truck. It has been repaired as issues have arisen. The vehicle has an AdBlue system and a 'cloud' warning light is on the dashboard; the AdBlue tank level is not displayed.

The gearbox has been rebuilt, but second gear has a notch/clunk; when double‑clutching it does not make noise — it is a synchronisation fault that does not prevent operation. All worn parts in the gearbox were replaced in Kuopio at a specialist workshop (name unknown) that repairs ZF gearboxes.
