Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we made the following observations:


-Installer's diagnosis of the fault:

The car cranks but does not start; from the sound there appears to be no compression. Fault codes point to camshaft position.

Visual inspection of the timing chain through the oil filler: when lifted with a hook the chain lifts off the cam sprocket and is very loose. The timing end has failed, and very likely the valves are bent.

Pistons inspected with an endoscope; no damage observed.


-The car is not driveable! Transport for the vehicle is required.


The vehicle has not undergone a technical condition inspection by us and the functionality of all equipment has not been tested. There may be hidden faults that we did not discover during the test drive. It is possible to inspect the car in more detail before making a binding offer. Please arrange your visit in advance, thank you.
