Ford Thunderbird, 1964, Tuusula

Well-preserved Ford Thunderbird in original condition. Imported from Sweden in April. According to the seller the car was repainted 15 years ago. The original colour is shown in the attached Carfax report. The Carfax shows approximately 100,000 miles; as the odometer is in miles, the correct mileage in kilometres is about 163,000 km. The car was imported to Sweden in 2005 and was the owner's pride and joy. He passed away and his son sold the car. I bought it as a second hobby car but am now selling it to fund the restoration of a previously acquired 1977 Ford F-150. I really don't want to sell it because it's wonderful. It attracts admiration everywhere, both on the road and wherever you park it, and seems popular with women. No wonder!

The pictures speak for themselves. Notably, the car comes with a Ford Thunderbird scale model. According to the seller this was supplied when a buyer ordered a second new car from the factory. The equipment list is printed on the base of the model. I suspect the model may be rarer than the car and possibly more valuable. The car also comes with the original owner's manual and the factory identification card hung from the rear-view mirror. In addition it includes old literature on Thunderbirds, a parts list, etc.

The car qualifies for museum registration. The only reason it has not been registered as a museum vehicle relates to the wheels; they are not acceptable as they are. The original hub caps are however available. Fitting them to the wheels under the car for inspection requires only a little tinkering. I can arrange the inspection if required; I have the means and contacts. The car also has a reserved heated winter storage space. It can be moved to your own garage immediately or in the spring.

Also, so‑called fender skirts (rear wheel covers) are available from my storage if you wish to fit them to the car.
