Cylinder head gasket failure. Coolant is leaking from the head gasket into the combustion chamber of cylinder 2. This has been inspected at an authorised dealer.
No warning lights have come on at any time. The issue appeared as an intermittent misfire. After a few days I noticed a loss of coolant. The car is driveable but the workshop did not recommend driving it. Repair requires specialist knowledge because of the hybrid system. Estimated repair costs exceed my budget, so I am selling the car as faulty. The engine may have suffered further damage due to the large coolant leak. No other damage caused by the head gasket failure has been observed.
The car is very tidy and almost rust-free for its mileage. Small surface rust in front of the rear wheels.
I have owned it since 2017; at that time it had been driven about 45,000 km.
Serviced at an authorised dealer and consumable parts always replaced on time.
The workshop assessed the brakes to be generally in good condition, but there is slight vibration when braking, indicating minor warping of a brake disc. Rust has been observed on the rear brake lines.
Underbody plastic fastenings have been repaired several times. Driving on gravel roads causes stones to get under the plastics, stretching them and eventually breaking the fixings. The plastics are now secure.
The windscreen is original but slightly worn.
For a competent mechanic this is an excellent seven-seat car for many more years of use.
Winter tyres: Hakkapeliitta 10 with 7–8 mm tread. New ones cost €1,000, so I estimate the fitted tyres are worth about €700.
Summer tyres are legal but will need replacing soon.
Petrol consumption 5.5–6.0 l/100 km
