Lincoln Town Car, 1992, Salo

American luxury with the rare Jack Nicklaus "Golden Bear" appearance package.

The car was imported from Florida to Sweden in the early 2000s. It then arrived in Finland around 2009–2010. In Finland the car stood unregistered for 15 years until it received Finnish plates in September this year.

Technically the car is in good condition. The reliable 4.6 L V8 engine is famed for its durability from police use and later as a taxi workhorse.

The engine runs smoothly and the power is intact. The gearbox shifts nicely and almost imperceptibly whether cold or hot. The car does not leak fluids.

The specification is excellent for the car's age. Features include automatic air conditioning (requires recharging), electric windows, central locking, electric front seat with memory, automatic headlight dip, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rear air suspension, sunroof

The engine oil has just been changed and a new battery fitted.

Two sets of tyres on original 15-inch alloy wheels. The summer tyres are old and in poor condition. The winter tyres are new Bridgestone studless winter tyres on the original 15-inch alloys. The wheel centre caps missing from the photos are kept safe.

The exterior is tidy. Small paint chips on the front and rear bumpers and dulled chrome trim. Cracks in the vinyl roof.

The interior is otherwise tidy, but the steering wheel and the rear seat cushion need attention.

The Jack Nicklaus package was a limited-time appearance package created in honour of/with the cooperation of the American golfer of the same name. The package was available with either white metallic paint and a green vinyl roof, or green metallic paint with a white vinyl roof. The grille and bonnet emblem are gold-coloured and the front wings carry a "Golden Bear" plaque.

Inside, the carpet is the colour of a golf green and the leather seats are golf-ball white.

This is a rare piece of Lincoln history even internationally.
