In the Monoblock series the refrigerant circuit is fully integrated into the outdoor unit. This provides good thermal insulation, saves space and ensures quiet operation. Its compact design also makes installation and maintenance straightforward. Monoblock units can also reduce installation costs because refrigerant-related work is already completed at the factory: the installer on site only needs to make the hydronic connections and necessary electrical works.

The air‑to‑water heat pump is an inverter model, which saves electricity compared with ON/OFF units. An inverter‑controlled heat pump adjusts heating output as needed. A common problem with ON/OFF pumps is short run cycles in spring and autumn. Short cycles increase compressor starts — each start consumes a lot of energy and wears the compressor. Correctly sized, an inverter allows continuous heating for most of the season without interruptions.

The updated model includes SG Ready functionality, allowing the pump to adjust consumption according to spot electricity prices. Using SG Ready requires controllers such as Shelly Pro 2 and Shelly Pro 3EM to relay price signals to the heat pump. The wiring diagram in the product images shows the connection between the heat pump and Shelly Pro 2.

The update also includes EVU functionality as standard. EVU enables integration of solar panels into the heat pump system. The heat pump increases heating output when solar electricity is available.

Installation (summary)
This is a Monoblock unit, so supply and return pipes are brought to the internal buffer tank. A separate indoor unit is not required. The manufacturer recommends a 60–100 litre buffer tank. A circulation pump and a dirt strainer must be installed on the pipe to the heat pump. The dirt strainer filters metal and plastic residues and other impurities from the heating system fluid so they do not block the heat exchanger. An expansion vessel must also be connected if the system does not already have one.

A touch‑screen display panel is supplied for installation inside the living area. Cable length: over 5 metres.

If you intend to heat domestic hot water with the heat pump, a separate cylinder is required. Use the guideline 50 L per person for sizing. The cylinder should be equipped with a coil. The return pipe from the heat pump is connected to a three‑way valve. The valve is operated with three wires. The pump opens the valve to prioritise domestic hot water when the cylinder temperature falls below the hysteresis. From the valve the flow pipes are connected to the buffer tank and the domestic hot water cylinder. Returns from both cylinders come back freely to the heat pump.
