ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles floating in the air to clump together; the resulting larger and heavier particles fall quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are highly harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by many microbes that mix into the indoor air as aerosols = microbial toxins, form a major health hazard when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation depends on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations effectively remove spores and odours even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together create compounds that can efficiently remove microbial spores and various odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and tobacco odours.
