For sale as surplus: Åkerman. Needs a bit of tinkering to bring it to digging condition. The digging head has a few seams and mounts that need fitting. All pins and bushings have been renewed, installation was just left unfinished. The bucket’s cylinder pipe section is seeping oil — easy to replace. The cooling fan has been replaced with an electric one, but it did not provide sufficient cooling in hot weather. The original propeller/fan is included; it only requires modification of the lower edge of the shroud to fit. A better engine package was fitted a couple of years ago from a wheeled chassis, so the water pump sits slightly lower than on the old unit. It is recommended to change all oils, although the engine oil has only been run for perhaps 2 h, it has been in the machine for a couple of years. Electrics are basic (start button) and none of the lights work, so they require attention. This can still be made into a sound machine for loading, pit/quarry work, turning over flower beds or whatever. A serviced feed pump and a large ripper-type bucket, together with a tilting grading bucket, are included. Running/use/drive videos available on request.
