Expenses related to depreciation in value
If you have put the purchased product into use, you are responsible for any depreciation in its value. Depreciation is assessed on a case-by-case basis and may be affected by factors such as soiling, wear, and damage to the item.
Typical depreciation charges include:
- Vehicles priced at approximately €10,000 or less: €0.10/km
- Vehicles priced at approximately €20,000: €0.20/km
- Vehicles priced at approximately €30,000: €0.30/km
- Work machinery: always assessed on a case-by-case basis
We reserve the right to deduct depreciation from the purchase price even if the factor causing the depreciation is discovered only after the return. Kilometer-based depreciation is not charged for the return journey. As direct costs arising from the return, the costs of re-registering the vehicle will be charged, typically €46 per vehicle requiring registration. We also reserve the right to charge for cleaning the vehicle if the returned item is not in the same condition as at the time of sale.
