Honda Jazz 2009 – well maintained, but with a gearbox fault

For sale is a 2009 Honda Jazz. I have owned and used the car for approximately two years, and until the current problem appeared, it had been a reliable and well-functioning car.

The car has been serviced regularly, and a significant part of the servicing has been carried out at Wetteri (Honda Service Centre). Available service and repair records are documented in the service book.

I have used the car extensively, including for long-distance journeys. For example, I completed a journey of approximately 4,000 km to Norway, as well as several trips to Turku and Helsinki. The car performed well on these journeys without any major problems.

⚠️ Current fault

The car currently has a serious gearbox fault. While driving, a “Check System” warning appeared on the dashboard, after which the gearbox stopped functioning.

Previously, after allowing the car to cool down for approximately 1–2 hours, the gearbox sometimes worked temporarily again, but the problem returned shortly afterwards. At present, the gearbox is not functioning normally and the vehicle is not drivable.

The car is being sold as faulty and for repair. The buyer should take the gearbox fault and possible repair costs into consideration before purchasing.

Apart from this, the car has been reliable and has served me well during my ownership; the problem only appeared recently.
