Volvo FL6 Turbo, 1987, Hollola

This unfinished recovery-truck project is being sold on commission. It was started last year as a hobby project but remains unfinished due to lack of time. Everything found on the cab has been welded; some areas still need grinding and filling. Last summer it was also driven for approximately 200 km without problems, and the engine oil, filters, air filter and cabin air filter were changed.

Work still required includes welding the edges of the platform (already started), checking and repairing lights, replacing wiring, and replacing hydraulic hoses as the old ones look poor. There is also a hydraulic oil leak at the grille. The batteries were replaced last summer, but while the vehicle was stored over winter, the main battery isolator failed and the batteries discharged. It started with a jump start and has been moved around the yard. The levelling control was also accidentally left in the upper position, causing one rear air bag to come off its mount; it is included and the vehicle can still be driven/moved as it is. There is certainly plenty more tinkering to do, as this is an old workhorse. The gears engage and the hydraulics work when oil is added. The two hydraulic winches and other equipment have been tested and work, as do the stabiliser legs, platform, grille and brakes, based on the driving carried out so far. Sold in its present condition; the buyer must allow for hidden defects that have not been noticed. Inspection of the vehicle is recommended before purchase.
