Heat treatment significantly improves wood’s resistance to decay and makes it dimensionally stable, so decking boards, fences and trellises retain their original, straight shape.

Thermowood is suitable for all climates, requires little maintenance and does not need surface treatment. It will turn beautifully grey under the effect of the sun’s UV light unless treated with a pigmented oil containing UV protection or a similar product.Only heat and water vapour are used in its manufacture, making it completely non-toxic.

Economy-grade timber is produced at sawmills and planing mills as a by-product of prime production. It is not waste, but fully usable material.
