Lightly used Arctic Cat M8000 Hardcore Alpha One for sale

  • Deep-snow snowmobile for an enthusiast to repair or use for spare parts

  • One piston and cylinder seized in the engine; everything else in the engine is intact.

  • No clear cause of the engine failure was found during dismantling.

The snowmobile was bought from a dealer about a year ago, freshly rebuilt (the entire engine had been renewed after it had ingested snow). I managed to ride it for approximately 20 km before it seized during steady riding, so the remaining engine components are in good condition, apart from the one piston and cylinder.

The following parts are needed to restore the engine:

  • 1 cylinder (unless the old one can still be salvaged)

  • Piston kit

  • Gasket set

  • Oil seal set

Piston needle bearings

Everything needed to repair and reassemble the snowmobile is included; the engine parts have been washed in a parts washer.

  • Fox Performance Series suspension, in good condition

  • Skis in good condition

  • Ice scratchers and reinforcements for the track suspension

  • Overall condition of the snowmobile is good

Declared off the road from 6 February 2026

Defects and other observations

Other faults noticed during ownership/dismantling:

  • Driveshaft support bearing

  • Small dent in the left control arm

  • A piece is missing from one lug on the track and there is one split in the centre; otherwise the track is in good condition!

  • Play in the handlebar bushing

  • Front bumper bar slightly bent

  • Several cracks in the body panels
