A very good day to you, auction folks.

A car dealership is replacing several lifts in its workshop, leaving the old ones surplus to requirements. As this is genuinely good, useful equipment, we are auctioning the lift to the highest bidder.

This is a German-made Nussbaum Jumbo Lift NT, with a lifting capacity of 3,200 kg. Model year 2019.

This is a heavy-duty, three-phase professional machine—not some flimsy Chinese import. It has more working years ahead of it than behind it. These lifts were originally selected from the very best available.

There is enough lifting height for a 2-metre-tall mechanic to work with a straight back.

This lift has been on the bodywork side of the workshop, where it has actually seen fairly little use; a car is not driven onto it every day. The same car may often stay on the lift for several days, so the runway on this particular unit does not even look particularly worn. A little touch-up paint and it would be no disgrace beside a new one.

Lifts used for tyre changes and routine servicing see considerably heavier use, with several dozen vehicles potentially being driven onto them every day.

As is proper for professional workshop equipment, the machine has of course been inspected regularly, most recently last year. It has also been maintained as carefully as an important tool should be.

The lift is fully operational. However, when it is dismantled, the hydraulic hoses—which have run through ducting under the floor alongside water, salt and so on—may mean that the fittings do not come apart intact. This should not be a major issue: hydraulic hoses are inexpensive, and I assume anyone reasonably handy can crimp new fittings onto the hoses themselves.

The lift has already been dismantled from the workshop and packed in the rear yard. The buyer only needs to load it and take it away. Dismantling was carried out by professionals from the same Nussbaum dealership that installed our new lifts.

Arrange suitable transport or ask transport professionals for assistance.

This can be transported on a larger trailer if you can somehow get it on board with a winch or brute force. The last time one like this was sold, two men managed to winch it onto a trailer. I am a salesman, so I cannot give very precise advice on that, but it is heavy enough that one person cannot lift it.

I was unable to film this one, as the installers dismantled it before I had time to do so.
