Arctic Hot Tub! No more warm drinks in the water

Who would want to sip refreshments warmed in the hot tub? No one! That is why the Hyvän Kaupan Paikka hot-tub designers created integrated side shelves with drinks holders for the Arctic Hot Tub. The shelf is not only a waiting lounge for hot-tub beers, ciders, lemonades and cocktails; it can also hold candles and lanterns. It is excellent for children’s hot-tub activities too: during diving breaks, goggles and water toys can be placed on it. Its versatility is limited only by your imagination. Earrings or a smartwatch can even be placed in the drinks recesses if you are unsure whether they are waterproof. Although you do not need to watch the time while enjoying the hot tub, it is convenient to check the phone resting on the shelf. Eight drinks recesses are enough for even a larger bathing group.

Innovative design – square-oval shape

We decided to combine two beautiful design languages and created the square-oval shape for the Arctic Hot Tub. It is both practical and beautiful. The shape allows for side shelves and adds character to the traditional round hot-tub design. The Arctic Hot Tub suits Finnish straightforwardness and sturdy character perfectly. We have rounded off the corners of the Finnish “swamp, hoe and Jussi” spirit, however, as no one needs to strain in a hot tub. Although the tub is called Arctic, we warmly recommend heating the water before getting in.

Versatile Step In access step

You might not think one plastic step could do so much, but it can. We designed the Step In step to make getting into the Arctic Hot Tub easier. Naturally, it also helps you climb out, but it can serve as a seat for a smaller child who would otherwise sink too deeply. In use, we have found that it also works as an excellent armrest, turning the Arctic Hot Tub into a convenient water armchair. The Step In solution makes the Arctic Hot Tub suitable for all ages and makes bathing easier for people with reduced mobility. After limbs have been strained by Finland’s Arctic winter conditions, the Arctic Step In makes it easier to lower them into soothingly warm water.

Which colour shall we choose?

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s relaxed approach is also reflected in our hot-tub range. We offer hot tubs for every need and taste. You can have the Arctic Hot Tub styled to your preference. Choose the plastic tub colour from five options and decide where to place the Step In step in relation to the stove. That is not all: you can also choose the outer cladding material from three options and select a black or grey cover. The tub colours are inspired by nature, including sea blue and lichen grey. All shades are compatible and work beautifully together.

Arctic conditions – effective insulation

To live up to its Arctic name, we wrap the tub in proper insulation! Beneath the plastic tub is 44 cm of EPS insulation, keeping frost at bay and bathwater hot even in the coldest winter weather. We have also added plenty of thermoplastic insulation to the sides, so the edges are insulated too. This highly efficient hot tub retains heat so well that a properly covered Arctic Hot Tub is still warm the following day. For the chilliest users, we recommend burning one load of wood before the next day’s water activities, but the tub will be ready for bathing again in an instant. Add wood to the stove, change clothes, wash and prepare the hot-tub drinks, then get back in.

Gentle warmth, efficiently delivered

Our efficient marine-aluminium Arctic stove heats the water to bathing temperature in a couple of hours. The stove’s durable marine aluminium provides 35 kW of full power and conducts heat well. It has an attractive glass door, allowing the wood-fired tub to cast a beautiful glow without opening the door to check the fire.

The marine-aluminium stoves included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka hot-tub packages are made in Finland. The powerful stove is not put off by seawater: it works with both fresh and salt water. Carefully considered material details make it a red-hot, top-quality product. The stove package includes 2 m of chimney pipe and a rain cap; if you want more pipe, a chimney guard or a spark guard, see the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as it begins to oxidise the material. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active-oxygen tablets (see the accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about 24 hours, after which it can also be used for watering, as it contains no additional chemicals and is safer for children. Water without oxygen can easily develop a slimy surface on the tub edges, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Carefree plastic tub

Unique in design and carefully engineered for seating comfort, the Arctic Hot Tub’s tub section is made of Jaxal moulded polyethylene. This plastic has a memory: it wants to retain the shape into which it was moulded. The easy-care, carefree plastic tub stands the test of time, which is why we confidently provide a 10-year warranty.

As the plastic tub has no moulded seams, dirt cannot collect in particular areas. Still, remember to keep the tub surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy with normal cleaning products. More thorough users can occasionally clean and disinfect the tub more vigorously, but remember to ensure wastewater is handled correctly.

Thousands of hot tubs in the valleys and hills of Finland

You can relax while lounging in the hot tub: the Arctic Hot Tub is a Key Flag product, representing Finnish craftsmanship while supporting domestic employment.

Finnish company Hyvän Kaupan Paikka is a reliable place to buy hot tubs; we have already sold tens of thousands. Last year alone, we delivered 5,500 hot tubs to Finns enjoying outdoor bathing throughout the seasons. Our relaxed yet precise outdoor-bathing products represent the best of Finnish manufacture.
