Roadworthy Nuffield Universal Three DL3/1850, year 1961

Up for auction is a roadworthy and largely original Nuffield Universal Three diesel tractor. This genuine British classic was built in 1961 and is ideal for hobby use, restoration or light work on a farm or around the yard.

The tractor is roadworthy and moves under its own power. The panels are reasonably straight for its age, the three-point linkage is in place and the overall package appears fairly complete. It provides a good basis for an original-style restoration or use as a patinated working tractor.

The paintwork has age-related wear, surface rust and signs of use. The rear tyres still have tread, but they are old and show cracking. The front tyres are worn. There is some oiliness and evidence of long-term storage. The tractor has no roll bar.

The tractor has not been inspected by a repair shop, and all functions of the linkage, power take-off, electrical equipment and lights have not been tested separately. This is a used working machine over 60 years old, so normal servicing and repair requirements should be expected.

The vehicle is registered and has been withdrawn from road use.
