ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions introduced into indoor air attach to light, positively charged particles suspended in the air, causing the resulting larger and heavier molecule to settle rapidly away from the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are very harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by various microbes and mixed into indoor air as aerosols—microbial toxins—pose a serious health risk when they enter the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause health risks mainly through the spores that produce these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative air ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, the effect is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations efficiently remove spores and odours from porous materials such as sofas and bed linen.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles enter the bloodstream through breathing, via the lower parts of the lungs (alveolar cells/alveoli), and cause serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative air ionisation are particularly effective in pressurised buildings.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation together create compounds that efficiently remove microbial spores and various odours, such as sewer gases, smoke odours, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and persistent odours from cooking and smoking.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compound) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative air ionisation produce pleasant indoor air that is easy to breathe and creates a comfortable environment.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation together produce very clean indoor air in workplaces as well.

Indoor-air ozonation must not be carried out when people are present, because ozone is produced in the space at high levels to destroy microbial spores. The combined effect of a high ozone concentration and negative air ionisation also provides good cleaning results in porous materials. After indoor-air cleaning, the ozonated space must be ventilated before occupants may return.
