ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions introduced into indoor air attach to light, positively charged particles floating in the air, causing the resulting larger and heavier molecule to settle quickly, away from the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are highly harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by various microbes and mixed into indoor air as aerosols—microbial toxins—pose a serious health risk when they enter the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause health problems only via the spores that produce these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative air ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times greater than ozone alone, and high concentrations effectively remove spores and odours from porous materials, such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles enter the bloodstream through the lower parts of the lungs (alveolar cells/alveoli) when inhaled and cause serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative air ionisation are particularly effective in pressurised buildings.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation together create compounds that effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, such as sewer gases, smoke odours, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and persistent odours caused by cooking and smoking.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compound) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative air ionisation produce pleasant indoor air that is easy to breathe and creates a comfortable environment.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation together also produce very clean indoor air in workplaces.

Indoor-air ozonation must not be carried out while people are present, as ozone is always produced at high levels to destroy microbial spores.
