For sale: a Toyota Avensis, the Chuck Norris of Finnish roads. The odometer already shows 355,000 kilometres, but as Toyota enthusiasts say, in these cars the figure tells you more about experience than age. This example has seen motorways, country roads, cottage roads and probably a few roads that do not officially exist.

- No warning lights are illuminated on the dashboard

Please note: It coughs and ponders life’s big questions a little when starting, but eventually starts and sets off like an old workhorse. The brake vibrates slightly unusually when braking at very low speeds. The car politely reminds you that stopping is in progress. At idle, there is some knocking, rattling and other diesel music. The Avensis does not like silence, but wants to keep the driver company even when stationary. The summer tyres need replacing. They have had a long working career on Finnish roads and are already waiting for a well-earned retirement. There are several dents and scratches on the body, as shown in the photos.

The car is no longer in showroom condition, but at least you no longer need to worry about the first supermarket car park door. On the road, however, the car feels to work quite properly and goes where the steering wheel is turned. This is not a hobby car kept in a glass cabinet, but an honest everyday car for its next owner. There are still plenty of kilometres left for someone who values affordable transport more than the smell of a new car.
