ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions introduced into indoor air affect airborne, lightweight, positively charged particles by attaching to them, forming a larger and heavier molecule that quickly settles down, away from the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are highly harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by various microbes and mixed into indoor air as aerosols—microbial toxins—pose a serious health risk when they enter the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause health risks mainly through spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative air ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When the device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations efficiently remove spores and odours from porous materials such as sofa upholstery and bed linen.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation together create compounds that efficiently remove microbial spores and various odours, such as sewer gases, smoke odours, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and persistent odours from cooking and smoking.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compound) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) compounds from the air.

Indoor-air ozonation must not be carried out while people are present, because ozone is produced in the space at high concentrations to destroy microbial spores.
