For sale: a virtually new, high-quality car transporter trailer, fully equipped!

Made in Germany, hot-dip galvanised and zinc-coated, extremely strong and stable Humbaur FTKA2700 braked O2-class car transporter trailer, with tipping function!

The trailer is in virtually new, dent-free condition and has been washed underneath and on top after every use. It has only been towed approximately 20 times, an estimated 1,000 km, so the tyres and overall condition are virtually new, apart from a few normal-use scratches on the bed; there are no dents.

The bed is an ideal size (4 m x 2 m). With the wheels positioned beneath the bed, the trailer remains conveniently narrow, as the wheels do not extend beyond it. Its length is also ideal for transporting larger cars with longer wheelbases as well as smaller passenger cars, while the overall trailer length remains reasonable, making it easy to manoeuvre even in tight spaces.

Depending on the vehicle, the front axle can be driven right to the front edge of the bed, moving the weight distribution forwards and allowing a lower car’s front bumper to extend over the drawbar without problems.

The convenient tipping function provides the small ramp angle required for loading low cars onto and off the bed.

The bed has 5 cm-high sides at the front and sides, with a centre infill, also allowing other goods to be transported more easily alongside cars.

Additional equipment and other modifications (only stainless-steel parts used; all electrical wires protected with braided sleeving and connections soldered with tin):

• The original jockey wheel (included) has been replaced with a Teopart adjustable support leg, allowing a long-nosed low car to be loaded onto the drawbar right at the front of the bed.

• All spring pins on the trailer have been replaced with stainless-steel scissor pins that cannot open due to vibration.

• Centre infill for the bed, made of waterproof plywood.

• Aluminium storage box (can be stood on).

• Winch post, which can be quickly moved from one side of the trailer to the other depending on the vehicle’s towing point, enabling a straight pull.

• High-quality Knott winch, 1,150 kg, with 10 m of 6 mm cable, hand crank, spring-loaded mechanism, 2 gear ratios for different speeds and a locking pawl (ratios 4:1 and 8:1). It has pulled a 2-tonne car onto the trailer without problems.

• Additional LED reversing lights at the rear, plus a powerful LED work light on the drawbar and an IP68 switch panel.

• (The work light can be switched on as a reversing light together with the rearmost lights using one button, and all three lights can be switched on simultaneously as work lights using another button).

• LED marker lights at the rear corners make it easier to judge the rear when reversing in the dark, plus 4 yellow LED marker lights on the sides (last picture).
