Arctic Hot Tub! No more drinks warmed in the water

Who would want to sip refreshments warmed in the hot tub? Nobody! That is why the Hyvän Kaupan Paikka hot-tub designers created integrated side shelves with drink holders for the Arctic Hot Tub. The shelf is not only a waiting lounge for hot-tub beers, ciders, lemonades and cocktails, but can also hold mood candles and lanterns. It is also excellent for children’s hot-tub activities: during diving breaks, swimming goggles and toys can be placed on it. Its versatility is limited only by your imagination. The drink recesses can even hold earrings or a smartwatch if you are unsure of its water resistance. Although you need not watch the time while bathing, it is convenient to glance at the phone resting on the shelf. Eight drink recesses are enough even for a larger bathing group.

Innovative design – square-oval shape

We decided to combine two beautiful design languages and created the square-oval shape for the Arctic Hot Tub. The shape speaks both practicality and beauty. It enables the side shelves and adds character to the traditional round hot-tub design. The Arctic Hot Tub is an excellent match for Finnish uprightness and straight-backed character. The corners have nevertheless been rounded from the Finnish “marsh, hoe and Jussi” spirit, because nobody needs to tense up in a hot tub. Although the tub is called Arctic, we warmly recommend heating the water before getting in.

Versatile Step In stair that makes use easier

You might not think one plastic step could do so much, but it can. We designed the Step In stair to make getting into the pool easier and to fit the Arctic Hot Tub perfectly. The step naturally helps when getting out, but also serves as a seat for a smaller child whose head would otherwise be submerged. In use, we have found that it also makes an excellent armrest, turning the Arctic Hot Tub into a convenient water armchair. The Step In solution makes the Arctic Hot Tub suitable for all ages and makes bathing easier for people with reduced mobility. After limbs have been strained by the Arctic conditions of the Finnish winter, they can be lowered more easily into soothingly warm water thanks to the Arctic Step In stair.

What colour shall we choose?

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s relaxed approach is also visible in our hot-tub range. We offer hot tubs for every need and taste. The Arctic Hot Tub can be dressed to suit your taste. You can choose the plastic pool colour from five options and consider the Step In stair’s position in relation to the stove. And that is not all. You can also choose the material of the pool’s outer cladding from three options and select a black or grey cover. The pool colours draw inspiration from nature, including sea blue and lichen grey. All colour schemes are compatible and work beautifully together.

Arctic conditions – efficient insulation

To live up to its Arctic name, we wrap the pool in proper insulation! Under the plastic pool is 44 cm of EPS insulation, keeping frost at bay and the bath water hot even in colder winter weather. We also added plenty of thermo-plastic insulation to the sides so the edges are insulated too. This highly efficient hot tub retains heat so well that an Arctic Hot Tub closed properly with its cover will still be warm the following day. For the chilliest users, we recommend burning one load of wood before the next day’s water fun, but the tub will be ready for bathing again in an instant. Add wood to the stove, change clothes, wash and prepare the hot-tub drinks, then get bathing.

Gentle warmth, efficiently

Our efficient marine-aluminium Arctic stove heats the water to bathing temperature in a couple of hours. The 35 kW stove is made of durable, highly heat-conductive marine aluminium. It has an attractive glass door, so the wood-fired tub creates a beautiful glow and you can check the fire without opening the door.

The marine-aluminium stoves included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka hot-tub packages are made in Finland. The powerful stove is not deterred even by seawater: it works with both fresh and salt water. Carefully considered material details make it a red-hot, premium product. The stove package includes 2 m of flue pipe and a rain cap; if you want more pipe, a chimney safety guard or a spark guard, see the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as it begins to oxidise it. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active-oxygen tablets (see the accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for approximately 24 hours, after which it can also be used for watering, as it contains no additional chemicals and is safer for children. Water without oxygen can easily create a slimy surface on the pool edges, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Carefree plastic pool

Unique in design and carefully planned for seating comfort, the Arctic Hot Tub pool section is made of rotationally moulded Jaxal polyethylene. This plastic has memory and wants to retain the shape in which it was moulded. The easy-care, worry-free plastic pool stands the test of time, which is why we confidently grant it a ten-year warranty.

As the plastic pool has no moulded seams, dirt cannot accumulate in particular places. Still, remember to keep the pool surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy with ordinary cleaning products. The most meticulous users can occasionally clean the pool more thoroughly by disinfecting it, but remember to ensure wastewater is handled correctly.
