The car starts, but idles roughly; it runs slightly better at higher revs. The garage suspected an issue with the injectors and replaced them with another set. The injectors for cylinders 1 and 2 were very heavily carbonised, and the fault remained with the replacement injectors. It hisses slightly into the intake manifold, so they suspected the valves may be so carbonised that an intake valve is leaking into the intake manifold. However, we will not dismantle the cylinder head any further, so this project is left for the next owner. It may be possible to get it running properly with a minor repair and cleaning, making it a usable car.


The car came to us from a finance company without keys, so two new keys were made for it; these are naturally included. Mismatched tyres.
