BMW 530, 2013, Raisio

Now up for auction: BMW 530D with a recent MOT!

The car came to us in part exchange during a car deal, directly from use.

According to the previous customer, there is a fault in the AdBlue system and smoke has been observed.

The car was test-driven for 15 minutes. It otherwise operates normally mechanically, but smokes when stationary at idle and the auxiliary belt makes a noise.

The car was subsequently inspected at a workshop, which gave us the following diagnosis:

- AdBlue injector leaking.

- NOx sensor 1 faulty.

- The particulate filter has reached its mileage limit. Forced regeneration cannot be performed before replacing the NOx sensor and AdBlue injector. If forced regeneration succeeds, all is well. If not, the DPF will also need to be removed, cleaned and refitted.

- Auxiliary belt must be replaced as it squeals; while the belt is removed, check whether any pulley is damaged.

The AdBlue system warning light came on after the sales photos were taken.
