ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions introduced into indoor air attach to light, positively charged particles suspended in the air, causing the resulting larger and heavier molecule to settle quickly, away from the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are highly harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by various microbes and mixed into indoor air as aerosols—microbial toxins—pose a serious health hazard when they enter the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause health risks instead only through spores, which produce these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O₃) and negative air ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When the device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, the effect is 5–10 times greater than ozone alone, and high concentrations effectively remove spores and odours even from porous materials, such as sofas and bed linen.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles enter the bloodstream through breathing via the lower part of the lungs (alveolar cells/alveoli), causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

Ozonation and negative air ionisation are particularly effective in buildings under positive pressure.
