Estimated model years: boat from the 1980s? The plate bears the numbers SF-12-06-6718. According to the internet, the engine is from 2012; the trailer was first registered in August 1998.

Defects and other observations

Boat

  • The outer tube of the steering cable is stuck in the tilt tube; the cable's inner tube moves, but it will most likely at least need a new cable.

  • After standing unused, the paintwork is faded, the seat upholstery is coming apart, and the floor plywood needs replacing.

  • Previously used for work for 3–4 summers; countless smaller dents and at least one hole on the side. The starboard rubbing strake and side rail have been damaged.

  • The original drain plug is missing.

  • The electrics need cleaning, and the main switch is earthing to the frame. The bilge pump is dead.


Engine

  • The belt has never been changed. The replacement interval is 1,000 hours, which it certainly has not yet approached, but I would replace it with a new one.

  • Due to standing unused, it will require some inspection and servicing before going offshore.

  • Engine mounting method? It has nevertheless stayed attached.


Trailer

  • The tyres are old and cracked at the sides; I would not use them for longer journeys.

  • The side supports lack height adjustment; they originally came with another boat.

  • Only transport rear lights are fitted.

  • The jockey wheel is in rather poor condition.
