A tidy and exceptionally well-equipped Finnish Polaris General 1000 ATV, model year 2018. The tractor-based ATV’s chassis has covered approximately 61,450 km, but a brand-new factory engine was fitted on 23 October 2020 (recorded in the service book), and it has covered only approximately 39,500 km. The ATV has been wrapped in blue (originally orange) and styled impressively. The cab has also been very carefully insulated and upholstered, making journeys considerably more comfortable and quieter.

Extensive renewal work has been carried out on the mechanical components and wear parts: the gearbox has just been replaced with a replacement unit that had covered approximately 4,000 km, and the vehicle has recently received a new CVT belt, battery, starter motor, spark plugs and fresh engine oil. The Polaris’s rear rack and frame have also been rust-repaired and repainted, so the engine bay and underbody are tidy. During the test drive, the vehicle appeared to operate normally. The windscreen is intact and the interior is basically clean and odour-free. The only drawback is slight wrinkling here and there in the bodywork wrap, which is not noticeable from a distance.

Included are summer doors and two sets of tyres: for summer, 215/65R17 Fortune summer tyres (7 mm tread) on attractive 17-inch Makin alloy wheels with spacers, and for winter, 215/60R17 Nokian Hakkapeliitta studded tyres (7 mm tread, loose tyres without wheels).

The CVT was inspected by a competent workshop; the components inside are completely intact. It was inspected because engine braking did not feel normal when braking. This is a characteristic of this CVT, not a fault; slight throttle is required when braking. According to the workshop, this does not cause wear to the components and is fine.
The fuel gauge occasionally shows an empty tank even when it is full. According to the workshop, fixing this would cost a few hundred euros.
