Mercedes-Benz C, 1997, Taivassalo

Additional information

This is a unique opportunity to buy a rare 1997 W202. In 1997, these cars were manufactured only from January to May, after which the M112 replaced it. Only a small number were M104 manual saloons, and according to the records this example is essentially a Finnish car and the only one in Finland.

Kept standard, with no modifications!

The car has essentially had the same owner throughout its life, apart from a short period with us and a brief period with another owner before the previous owner. (It has always been with people known to us.)

The underside is completely solid and unwelded, as shown in the pictures. The only rust on the exterior is on the driver’s door and below the rear light, also visible in the pictures. The doors, arches and bumpers are in relatively tidy condition!

The paintwork on the roof has suffered because, when leaving the Mercedes factory, the car was being transported on a vehicle that was involved in an accident and the roof was damaged, which is why it now has cracks. The car was repaired in Germany, and is therefore essentially a Finnish car because it was not in road use in Germany. (There is no mould problem; the exterior has simply suffered damage.)

There is also some lacquer damage on the boot lid and bonnet.

Parts replaced include: new tyres, battery, original overvoltage relay, fuel pump, filters, oils, brake calliper, rear brake discs and probably a few other items.
