Defects and other observations

This summer, an extra noise began coming from the gearbox, which is why the car has been taken off the road. When a gear is engaged and the accelerator is pressed while moving, a tapping noise can be heard; in neutral, there is a scraping noise.

The gears and clutch work normally, and no abnormalities have been noticed in the driving feel. The fault is therefore mainly noticeable as an extra noise. The engine does not leak oil.

The gearbox noise has not been investigated further, so there is no certainty about its cause or any possible repair requirements.
