Toyota Hilux 2.5 D-4D, 2006, Kuopio

Sold at auction: a tough workhorse, a forester's dream, a reindeer tamer: Toyota Hilux 2.5 D-4D with the laziest 75 kW, but all the tougher, engine. Even Top Gear would not have killed this one. The car has been used by a forestry company and the full purchase price is VAT deductible for businesses. This particular example unusually has both air conditioning and an engine block heater, so it is warm in winter and does not overheat in summer. Technology:
- Technically, this is as reliable as a train toilet. Seems to work. Please note, though, that it has done the miles, so repairs will surely be needed at some point. An oil change service would be due.
- The engine is a 2.5-litre turbocharged diesel. Timing belt replaced in 2020 and at 468,000 km. Replacement interval 150,000 km. Serviced regularly. Runs well, starts well, pulls well. Does not seem to smoke.
- The gearbox is a five-speed manual. It and the clutch work well. No complaints. Four-wheel drive works, including low range.
- Brakes are ok, including the parking brake. The car stops normally.
- Underbody ok. Nothing to note. Nice to drive.
- Electrical systems appear to be ok. The engine block heater has not been tested and the air conditioning probably needs repair. In my opinion it did not blow the coldest possible air on a warm day.

Body, interior, windscreen
- There are some defects in the body. Overall it looks fairly tidy. See photos.
- Interior ok, normal wear and tear, but it does not smell of dog or diesel.
- Windscreen ok.

Service and history:
- Originally sold new in Finland. No accident history or similar.
- Service book ok. Documented in the listing with photos.

Equipment and handover:
The car is supplied with the tyres shown below, as good as new, driven max 200 km. One key, owner's manual and service book.
