  • Bulb fault
    The bulb warning light is on due to an electrical fault Headlight electrical fault:
    An electrical fault/surge occurred when changing the xenon bulb. At present the left front headlight is completely dark. Otherwise the lights and car work normally on short drives. The fault has been investigated by an authorised dealer, and their diagnosis is as follows:

    • Electrical system and fuses: The fuses are intact, but the power supply to the left front headlight does not work. The electrical control unit is probably burnt out.

    • Headlight assembly and wiring: There is oxidation on the headlight assembly and connector pins, and the wires inside the headlight and the earth wire in the connector housing have melted. Moisture has entered the headlight, causing the control units to short-circuit. The vehicle-side wiring loom has heated up slightly.

    • Control units: The fault memory contains a code from the AFS control unit (missing coding), and recoding is not possible. The electrical control unit and the headlight control unit (J343) may be faulty.

    According to the dealer, new control units are poorly available directly from the factory.
