The reason I bought and needed this car fell through, so I have no use for it.

There was also not supposed to be any other fault than a couple of rust spots according to the latest inspection report, but the inspector must have been a good friend as quite a few issues were left unnoticed.

Passed inspection on 4 Sept.

-Hole in the subframe, needs replacing

-Front wheel bearing, right front, noisy, needs replacing

-Handbrake weak, will surely need adjusting as it held at the May inspection. It has been standing since then.

-Oil leak, coming from somewhere underneath, perhaps the sump gasket etc. Engine dry from above.

-Rear light cracked, repaired with tape; you can hardly notice it.

Faults noted at the May inspection repaired

-Wishbone bush replaced

-Welds welded up

It has not been driven during this time, and the following have also been repaired

-Number plate lights were not working, the housings were missing; new ones have been sourced.

-Extra brake lights were missing, fitted in place.

-Locks did not work, repaired

-Left CV joint was knocking, replaced

-Steering rack had play, replaced

-Right CV joint replaced

-Outer and inner tie rod ends replaced

-Car and headlamps lightly polished.

There is also something good here

It seems to have a block heater with water pump, although the operation is unknown.

Starts well and runs smoothly. Emissions are good.

Electric windows work, the radio does not receive any signal as the aerial seems to be broken, but Bluetooth can be connected to a phone.

Fairly new tyres, tread date around 20/25

The washer does not spray on the passenger side, hose nipple broken. This was not mentioned at inspection.

I do not know whether the turbo actuator works, but the 65 hp clearly cannot be brisk.

I checked that the turbo does spin, and no warning lights are on.

Wheel alignment not done, aligned by eye. It drives straight but the steering wheel is naturally off-centre. I do not recommend driving any extra distance before alignment.

Periodic inspection not carried out/passed

Vehicle must be inspected between: 23/04/2025 - 27/04/2026

Removal from traffic: normal removal 4/9/2026 -

Total percentage of replaced parts 1%

Rear seat 1%
