ABS fault. Measured and investigated where the fault is -> ABS fault investigated, trailer has EBS system -> Reported interruption to the front modulator etc. -> Measured wiring and modulator resistance, all OK -> Reconnected wiring, fault codes cleared -> Working OK. Test drive, warning light came on after approx. km -> Fault codes read and cleared a few times, always reported different faults -> EBS modulator cover damaged, full of gravel and moisture, corrosion in the supply cable connector and smells of burnt electrics -> EBS modulator replaced. EOL test carried out, test run, all OK, no fault codes. Customer picked up the trailer after repair, immediately reported an EBS fault and it would not go out? -> Fault codes read in the yard at Havator's Jyväskylä office -> Reported low reservoir pressure (below 4.5 bar) -> Duomatic connector replaced, as the water filters in the previous Knorr-Bremse connector may be blocked -> Trailer picked up, working OK. After replacing the Duomatic, the Duomatic leaks air to atmosphere from the control-pressure side and the trailer intermittently reports an EBS fault? -> Fault investigated in Äänekoski in Havator's workshop yard, trailer still only reported low pressure. Duomatic connector leaks air because the brake valve and/or park/shunt valve leaks air to the control side -> Customer replaced both valves, working OK and no longer reports EBS or leaks. Weld cracks in the outer sides of the trailer? --> Trailer container locks had cracked. Ground off silicone and cracks around the container locks, welded the container locks and painted, and applied new sealant between the plywood and the locks. Inspection notes: underrun guards missing -> Underrun guards installed on both sides, on the left between the toolboxes and on the right in place of the removed spare wheel box --> Toolboxes etc. had to be straightened when building the underrun guards. Difference in brake forces on axle 3 too great --> Straps and drums cleaned and adjusted - OK
