Mercedes-Benz CLS, 2005, Tampere

A great example for sale with Mercedes' best M113 V8 engine. The car's overall appearance is really good.

• Ball joints, tie rod ends, steering wheel spiral cable, ABS ring, crankshaft rear main seal and a new alternator have just been replaced.

• Recently had a four-wheel alignment.

• Just inspected.

• Finnish car with a good service history.

• New, wide and stylish 19-inch Rizon wheels.

• Driven about 1,000 km on new summer tyres.

• The car does not have winter tyres, as it has only been used by me in summer.

• The car has a striking cream-coloured interior, cooled and heated seats, adjustable Webasto, adjustable air suspension, cruise control, electric tailgate, memory seats and other extras.

• The engine runs smoothly and the gears shift softly.

• The exhaust system resonator has been removed, but the system is legal and was checked at inspection.

There are no extra noises. The air suspension works flawlessly, and no corner is sagging. The car rises and lowers to the desired setting. In every respect, a good example that has served well.

Cons

• The mechanism of the box under the passenger seat has come loose, but it is intact.

• The mechanism for the lid of the centre console storage compartment is stuck, but repairable. However, the lid still closes and opens.

• The car's paintwork is not perfect, but as is typical for a car of this age. There are some scratches, but otherwise it is tidy and there is no rust.

• There are a few scratches and a little wear in the interior trim that are not immediately noticeable. Overall, it still looks very tidy.

• There is a small dent in the rear door on the driver's side, visible only in certain light.

• The key is broken, so the central locking does not work with the remote. Locking works via infrared from the door handle. I can have a new key coded, if agreed, possibly a Start/Stop key.

• The windscreen is cracked at the bottom, but the car passed inspection without remark.

This would be a durable car for the next owner, and at least the timing chain will not need any attention for years.
