Your chance of a lifetime? Before the battery was drained, the following observations were made during the test drive: A comfortable and spacious Passat. It drives nicely and the gears change smoothly. The dual-mass flywheel rattles a little when cold.


The battery had gone flat (is there a parasitic draw somewhere?) and now, after fitting a new battery, the glow plug warning light flashes and the car stalls immediately after starting.
