Volkswagen Caravelle, 1990, Seinäjoki

A proper forest rig for the next owner. It came to me 4 years ago in a slightly different look. We’ve had some good times with this car, but lack of space is now making ownership difficult.

The car has been gone through, painted and tidied up in every way. It is powered by a reliable 1.9-litre TD AAZ fitted by the previous owner. This fine example got a fresh inspection at the end of 2025, so it can be driven hard through the next hunting season too.

Improvements made to the exterior and interior:

- The body panels have been checked and repainted matt green.

- The windows were removed and the rear section tinted.

- The windscreen has been replaced.

- The wheels have been powder-coated and the tyres upgraded to a slightly more aggressive set.

- A roof rack was made to order and more lights fitted than strictly necessary. The wiring runs inside protected tubing, safe from brush and branches.

- A half-height partition has been built between the cab and the load area.

Work done in the engine bay:

- Timing belt service done less than 3,000 km ago.

- The engine has been upgraded and machined by the previous owner.

+ Required servicing carried out as needed.

Included:

- Another set of tyres (more road-friendly)

- Spare engine in parts

- Paint cans left over from the repaint

- Another front differential

- Decals (two 4WD stickers for the doors and a Syncro sticker for the front)

Negatives:

- Four years of use as a forest vehicle have left a few marks, but they come with the deal.

- Fuel gauge does not work.
