In 2024 it was not inspected due to lack of time/money/interest. In summer 2025 it was meant to be brought up to standard; I replaced a lot of parts, but it got stuck on a couple of things and was never taken to the inspection station (more has since been added to the list). Defects and other observations

Current defects:

Windshield cracked for quite a long stretch
ABS starts chattering at low speed when braking (sensors to be replaced?)
When the lights are switched on, some of the dashboard gauges show random values
Front indicators do not work (there was ice in the headlamps last winter, so that may be the cause)
Horn does not work
Gearbox works okay, but when shifted to D it takes some time to move off when cold
Rear brakes need attention
Air conditioning does not work
The rear axle has been whining for the last 5 years
The front tyres lose a little air from somewhere (need topping up every couple of months)

New parts:

New batteries (has not been driven properly for a while, so needs a jump start)
New "temporary" transfer pump (the connectors on the original pump were so rusty that I did not dare open them. A new original pump is included.)
New power steering cooler
New tyres, driven about 1,000 km
New PMD, moved close to the firewall
New diesel filter

Other useful information:

Four-wheel drive works well and it can get through rougher places
Still pulls well; has towed a trailer, been driven in the forest, recovered cars from ditches, etc.
Drives well, does not pull to either side and is not particularly noisy (apart from the rear axle)

Brakes replaced by the previous owner, driven about 20,000 km
The previous owner also rebuilt the leaf-spring hangers and otherwise welded and patched the frame
Engine is fairly dry, does not leak fluids much
Original cassette stereo, which works (a Reijo Taipale cassette included 😉)
Old Nokian studded tyres on steel rims included
3+3 commercial vehicle, so low taxes and you can even take the whole group of friends fishing

I recommend collecting it on a trailer, but if it is not going all the way to Kittilä, it can be driven away (though I still recommend bringing some kind of service vehicle).

There is surely something I forgot to mention, but this is at least everything I can remember about the car right now.
