Emaldo Power Store AI 10.8 kW / 10.24 kWh – new and test-used battery module

Emaldo Power Store smart battery system sold to the highest bidder. This is a three-phase 10.8 kW battery system with a total battery capacity of 10.24 kWh.

The system cabinet, inverter and one 5.12 kWh battery module have been in our own test and display use for about one year. A second, new 5.12 kWh battery module will be added to the set.

The reason for sale is the replacement of our own test equipment. What is now on offer is a complete and efficient Emaldo system combining a year of test use with a new battery module that increases capacity.

What can the system be used for?

The Emaldo Power Store is suitable for example for:

• Storing solar power for later use

• Charging electricity from the grid during low-price hours

• Using the battery when electricity is more expensive

• Increasing self-consumption of solar power

• Power management for the property and limiting consumption peaks

• Automatic optimisation of energy use

• Participation in the Emaldo Grid Rewards programme and flexibility markets, subject to the terms of the service, site and electricity retailer

The system can also be used without solar panels by taking advantage of electricity price fluctuations. If the site already has a solar power plant, the Power Store can be installed alongside it as an AC-coupled system regardless of the brand of the current solar inverter.

The Power Store does not connect directly to the DC cables of the solar panels; instead, the output of the existing solar plant is detected from the property’s grid connection via Smart Meter measurement.

Smart energy management

The Emaldo system is controlled with a mobile app. The system can be set to operate automatically in Emaldo AI mode or according to a schedule defined by the user.

Backup power during outages:

Installing the battery system alone does not automatically provide backup power to the property during a power cut.

Backup operation requires a separate Emaldo KeepON 24/7 Backup Kit and proper backup wiring in the property’s electrical system. Backup equipment or its installation is not included in the auction price.

The manufacturer states the following for the supported backup solution:

• Continuous power up to 10.8 kVA

• Short-term starting power up to 21.6 kVA

• Transfer time about 10 ms

Circuits supplied by backup power and any whole-property backup connection are always designed on a site-specific basis. We can also offer the backup solution separately.

Installation can be purchased from us

The auction price applies to the equipment only and does not include installation, transport or site-specific installation materials.

The buyer can obtain installation of the system from Aurinkotekniikka via a separate quote.

Installation can be offered for example with the following scope:

• Transport of the equipment to the site

• Positioning and assembly of the battery bank

• AC cabling and electrical connections

• Required protective devices

• Installation of Smart Meter or CT measurement

• Commissioning of the system

• Setting up the internet connection

• Commissioning of the Emaldo app

• Connecting the system to the new owner's user account

• Operating instructions

• Making the necessary notifications to the grid operator

• Possible backup solution by separate quote

For an installation quote, we need the site postcode, main fuse size, photos of the distribution board, details of any solar power plant, and the planned battery location and distance from the distribution board.

The system may only be installed and commissioned by a professional with the appropriate electrical contracting rights and the competence required for the Emaldo system. Incorrect installation may create a safety risk and affect the manufacturer’s warranty.

Condition and warranty:

The system cabinet, inverter and one battery module have been in our own test and display use for about one year. The other 5.12 kWh battery module is new.

The sticker on the equipment can be removed without leaving marks and there may be some very small scratches, but it is still almost new. The item is sold in the condition shown in the pictures and described here.

The manufacturer’s current technical material states a 70% battery capacity guarantee for 10 years or 6,000 charge cycles, and 10-year warranty terms for the inverter and cabinet when the system has been installed and used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The exact remaining warranty for this individual item will be confirmed based on serial numbers, original delivery and commissioning.

The item can be viewed in advance by appointment at the Riihimäki warehouse.

Collection from the Riihimäki branch. Delivery can be agreed separately. If the buyer purchases installation from us, transport of the equipment can also be included in the installation quote.
