Volvo has been in our own use since 1999 and was bought then from an insurance company; it had fire damage in the engine compartment! The gearbox was fully repaired about 10 years ago and works very well! The engine has also been replaced more than ten years ago, and now it has a fault where it builds up pressure in the radiator — perhaps the head gasket or something else! Otherwise it runs well! The brakes are somewhat functional!
