Arctic Hot Tub! No more drinks warmed in the water

Who would want to sip drinks warmed in the tub? No one! That is why the hot tub designers at Hyvän Kaupan Paikka have come up with integrated ledges with drink holders for the Arctic Hot Tub. The ledge is not only a lounge for waiting for hot tub beers, ciders, lemonades and cocktails, but you can also place candles and lanterns on it to set the mood. It also works brilliantly for children’s hot tub play, as goggles and toys can be set on it during breaks from diving. Its versatility is limited only by your imagination. The openings for drinks can even hold earrings or a smartwatch if you are unsure whether it is waterproof. Although you should not really keep track of time while hot-tubbing, it is handy to glance at the time on the phone resting on the ledge. Eight drink recesses are enough for even a larger group of bathers.

Innovative design – square-oval shape

We decided to combine two beautiful design languages into one and created the square-oval shape of the Arctic Hot Tub. This design speaks both practicality and beauty. The shape makes the ledges possible and adds extra presence to the traditional round tub form. Arctic Hot Tub fits excellently with Finnish dignity and straight-backedness. The corners have, however, been rounded from the Finnish field-and-axe ideology, because nobody needs to be tense in a hot tub. Although the tub is called Arctic, we recommend heating the water properly before stepping in.

Easy to use, versatile Step In stairs

You might not think a single plastic step can do so much, but it really can. We have designed the Step In stair, which makes entering the tub easier, specifically to suit the Arctic Hot Tub. The step naturally makes getting out easier too, but it also works as a seat for a smaller child when an ordinary seat would let their head sink too far down. In use, we have found that the step also works well as an armrest, making the Arctic Hot Tub a handy water armchair. The Step In solution makes the Arctic Hot Tub a tub for all ages and helps people with reduced mobility bathe more easily. In the Arctic conditions of the Finnish winter, tired limbs are easier to lower into soothing warm water thanks to the Arctic's Step In step.

What colour shall we have?

The relaxed approach at Hyvän Kaupan Paikka also shows in the hot tub range. From us, you get hot tubs for every need and taste. The Arctic Hot Tub can be customised to your liking. You can choose the colour of the plastic shell from five options and consider the placement of the Step In step in relation to the stove. And that is not all. You can also choose the material of the outer cladding from three options and pick the cover colour between black and grey. The colour range draws inspiration from nature, with options such as sea blue or lichen grey. All shades are compatible and work very well together.

Arctic conditions – effective insulation

To make the Arctic Hot Tub worthy of its name, we wrapped the tub in proper insulation! Under the plastic shell there is 44 cm of EPS insulation, which keeps frost at bay and bathing water hot even in colder winter weather. We also added plenty of thermoplastic to the sides, so the edges are insulated too. This highly insulated hot tub retains heat so effectively that, with the cover properly closed, the Arctic Hot Tub is still warm the next day. For the coldest of cold-sensitive users, we recommend firing one stove load for next day’s water fun, but the tub will be ready for bathing in no time. Get the wood in the stove, change your clothes, wash up and prepare your hot tub drinks, and then just start bathing.

Gentle heat, efficiently

The powerful marine aluminium Arctic stove heats the water to bathing temperature in a couple of hours. The stove delivers 35 kilowatts of full strength, and its marine aluminium is durable and conducts heat well. The stove is fitted with a beautiful glass door, so the wood-fired tub creates a lovely glow and you do not need to open the door to check the fire.

The marine aluminium stoves included in the Hyvän Kaupan Paikka hot tub package are manufactured in Finland. This high-output stove is not afraid of even seawater, as it works with both fresh and salt water. Carefully considered material details make the stove a red-hot top-quality product. The stove package includes two metres of flue pipe and a rain cap, but if you want more pipe, a chimney protective grille or a spark guard, check the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine will start oxidising it. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active oxygen tablets (see accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about a day, after which the water can also be used for watering plants, as it contains no added chemicals and is safer for children too. Water without active oxygen quickly starts forming a slimy layer on the edges of the tub, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Carefree plastic shell

The uniquely designed and carefully seat-shaped Arctic Hot Tub shell is made of rotomoulded polyethylene by Jaxal. This plastic has memory, meaning it wants to keep the shape it was moulded into. The easy-care, worry-free plastic shell stands the test of time very well, which is why we are confident enough to offer a ten-year warranty.

Because the plastic shell has no cast seams, dirt cannot collect in any special places. However, remember to keep the shell surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy to do with normal cleaning agents. More exacting users can occasionally clean the shell more thoroughly, i.e. disinfect it, but remember to take proper care when handling wastewater.
