A slightly rarer Mazda3 on offer, GT trim, 2.0L chain-driven engine. Roadworthy, but there is doubt whether it will pass the next inspection on the first try.

Overall condition is tidy, with normal signs of use. The interior could be cleaner too; the larger areas have just been vacuumed and wiped down. The engine bay is fairly dusty on top. The engine runs well and the power seems to be there, and you can notice the small extra power brought by the RE85 conversion compared with 98/95 petrol.

It drives solidly, apart from a few knocks from the suspension, and the driving feel is pleasantly sporty.

Roof racks are also included, but not fitted (I will add a picture of the racks later).

Original Mazda fabric floor mats included.

Defects and other observations

Unfortunately, this one has not escaped rust either; spots and patches can be seen from every angle, as well as on the underside and frames. There is also a hole of some size in the right rear wheel arch. We have tried to photograph as many areas as possible.

Sometimes it takes a long time to start: the starter turns, but the engine does not try to start, as if it were not getting fuel... although it could also be the battery.

After a slightly longer stop, e.g. the first drive of the day, a knock from the front can be heard when speed increases to 15-20 km/h. Not investigated.

The rear bush on the right front control arm is weak.

The air conditioning leaks slightly from the compressor and possibly the condenser as well. It does at least blow somewhat cool air.

The rear shock absorbers are worn out. No remark at the last inspection, difference 20%. The garage did, however, mention their condition.

There is sometimes squeaking at the front, and the dog bone link on the passenger side was at least stiff in movement.

Of the electric windows and door stay mechanisms, only the front passenger side works.

Oxidation on the battery.

Spare tyre punctured; I only noticed when taking pictures, along with a wood screw in the boot floor. No information on when this happened.

Frame of the left front fog light is broken.

Crack in the lower edge of the windscreen; this has not affected the inspection.

The headlights sometimes stay "on" when the car is switched off, in auto or off position. Turning them on and off once or twice completely switches them off.

Underbody plastic cover in the engine bay is hanging loose.

Headlight lenses are quite faded.
