Arctic Hot Tub! No more warmed drinks in the water

Who wants to sip a warmed drink in the tub? No one! That is why our designers have added integrated ledges with drink holders to the Arctic Hot Tub. The ledge is not only a lounge for waiting beers, ciders, soft drinks and cocktails, but can also hold mood candles and lanterns. It works well for children’s tub play too—between dives you can place goggles and toys on the ledge. Its versatility is limited only by imagination. The drink recesses can even hold earrings or a smartwatch if you’re unsure about its water resistance. And although you shouldn’t be clock‑watching while bathing, it’s handy to glance at a phone resting on the ledge. Eight drink recesses are enough for a larger bathing group.

Innovative design – square‑oval shape

We decided to combine two attractive shapes and created the square‑oval Arctic Hot Tub. The shape is both practical and beautiful. It allows the ledges and gives a fresh twist to the traditional round tub. Arctic Hot Tub suits Finnish uprightness and composure. We have softened the corners from strict Finnish practicality, because you shouldn’t have to strain in a hot tub. Even though the name is Arctic, we recommend heating the water to a comfortable temperature before stepping in.

Convenient, versatile Step In stair

One plastic step can do many things. We designed the Step In stair to make entering the Arctic Hot Tub easier. The step naturally helps with exiting, but also acts as a small child’s seat to stop heads sinking below the waterline. We have found it also serves as a handy armrest, turning the tub into a comfortable water chair. The Step In solution makes the Arctic Hot Tub suitable for all ages and helps people with reduced mobility. After a harsh Finnish winter, tired limbs are easier to lower into the soothing warm water thanks to the Step In stair.

Which colour would you like?

Our relaxed approach shows in the hot tub range. You can get the Arctic Hot Tub tailored to your taste. Choose the plastic shell colour from five options and decide the Step In placement relative to the heater. You can also choose the exterior cladding from three materials and pick a cover colour in black or grey. The shell colours are inspired by nature, including sea blue and lichen grey. All colour schemes are compatible and work well together.

Arctic conditions – effective insulation

To live up to its Arctic name, we wrap the tub in solid insulation. Beneath the plastic shell is 44 cm of EPS insulation to keep frost away and the bath water warm even on colder winter days. We also add ample thermal foam to the sides so the rim is insulated too. This highly efficient tub keeps heat so well that a well‑covered Arctic Hot Tub can still be warm the next day. For the chilliest users we recommend one more stove load the next day, but a tub that’s ready for bathing the following day is quickly prepared: add wood to the heater, change tools if needed, clean and stock drinks, and you’re ready to soak.

Gentle heat, effectively

Our powerful marine‑aluminium Arctic heater warms the water to bathing temperature in a couple of hours. The heater is roughly 35 kW, made of durable marine aluminium and conducts heat well. It has a handsome glass hatch so the wood‑fired tub throws a pleasant glow without needing to open the hatch to check the fire.

Our meraluminium heaters are manufactured in Finland and are included in the Hyvän Kaupan Paikka hot tub package. The powerful heater copes even with seawater, so it is suitable for use with both fresh and saline water. Carefully chosen materials make the heater a top product. The heater package includes a 2 m chimney section and a rain cap; for extra pipe, a chimney guard or a spark arrester, see the accessories list.

Note that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine will begin to oxidise the aluminium. We recommend changing water regularly and using active‑oxygen tablets (see accessories). Active oxygen treats the water for about 24 hours, after which the water can be reused for watering plants as it contains no added chemicals and is safer for children. Untreated water can quickly form a slimy film on the rim, but active oxygen prevents this.

Carefree plastic shell

The uniquely shaped, comfort‑designed shell of the Arctic Hot Tub is rotationally moulded polyethylene (Jaxal). This plastic ‘remembers’ its moulded shape. The easy‑care, durable plastic shell stands the test of time, and we therefore offer a ten‑year warranty.

Because the plastic shell has no moulded seams, dirt has nowhere to build up. Remember to keep the shell clean when changing water; this is easy with normal detergents. The most meticulous users may occasionally disinfect the shell, but please handle wastewater appropriately.
