Next up was a 3.0-litre BMW with the twin-turbo M57. It has been remapped and fitted with a downpipe to about 400 hp, and you can tell — it pulls strongly. Mechanically it felt sound. You can hear a whistle, there is lots of torque and it brings a big smile. Cars behind get covered in black smoke when you put your foot down from the driver’s seat.


The interior is tidy and wouldn’t shame a newer car. The exterior has small things to fix (see pictures carefully).
